Maitake Mushroom
The Maitake mushroom is also nicknamed the dancing mushroom and grows in the wild in Japan, China, and parts of North America. It is generally found at the bottom of Oak, Maple, and Elm trees and has been a part of traditional Asian practices for centuries. Maitakes are high in antioxidants, Vitamin B and C, copper, potassium, fiber, and amino acids. They may play a role in immune function, blood pressure and cholesterol.
